L'il Chickens - oh & onlooking Pigs!

Well finally attempted some freehand sewing, not very good but I try.

I cut out the images first, then placed them on white fabric and started the freehand sewing- eh voila I think I got there.

Just thought I would add my little pig couple on sofa so that chickens don't feel lost!

Liberty Savannah Covered Buttonz!

Walking through Wigan Town, spotted this lovely Liberty Savannah Cotton material so thought - must have it. The colours are quite striking and I do just adore florals with a kinda like vintage look!

My little mushroom!

Well I've finally made a Mushroom!

Went to my fortnightly woodturning meet and it was hands on so was shown how to make a mushroom - eh voila.

It was made using a branch of Yew Tree and the colours are quite amazing when you work the piece and then polish it but the most effective I think are the rims of bark which I managed not to damage!

I've got an Award!

This is the first time ever I've received an award - just great and thank you my lil friend Nic who is the one and only supercutetilly

Now to list 7 things bout myself - well er....
1. Just don't do dresses only when I worked - generally a tom boy
2. Love music and especially Jazz & Country & Western
3. Should do more with my spare time but don't?
4. Need to see more of my brother & sister but they live abroad - won't pay my ticket
5. Absolutely love all animals but can't have one cos live in a flat!
6. Really enjoy walking (hiking that is) not shopping and
7. in fact shopping really bores me!

Well Nic thank you again for the award but just cannot think who to pass it onto and cannot award you with it even though you deserve it.

Just Buttonz!!

Thought I'd better get a move on and do something - what did I do 'more buttons'

I am trying to use all my scrapz of material but keep on buying more - shall have to put a stop to that - but c'est la vie!

Spent a few minutes doing the labels which I now have attached the buttons to which I suppose does make them more presentable for sales.

Geometric Felt/Fabric Purse!

Sorry not been blogging for a few days but go to that thing called 'work'

I made up this little purse using Dark Grey as base, Red & Black Felt for embellishments. The interior was the Black & Red spot fabric, pieces of Black & Red satin ribbon, Black 4" zip and small red button. Got loads of red (in fact all colours) of buttons but just could not find the right one so had to go and purchase 'a button'.

'Dolly Mixture' of Gingham Buttons!

Well that's a total of 36 buttons done and dusted!

Fingers are really sore so will have to leave button making for a day or two!

The materials used were 100% Gingham Cotton, Vilene and Make Your own metal buttons.

Am currently working on a little felt purse but in a quandary as to the embellishments but shall reveal tomorrow.
