Milestone - 80th Birthday Card for a keen fisherman!

A little bit unconventional for me cos I normally stamp images and paint with H2O's, but just thought I would try something different - so voila I stitched a sort of fishing collage as best I could incorporating it with the 80.
The sewing was not too difficult but think this is a one off because sticking it all down with an insert as well was some feat but got there in the end. Hopefully there will be some happy old man on Saturday!

Thought I would make something different because I went to a quaint farm shop and spotted some tea cosies but thought 'wow - just look at the price' and then realized I could make one!
The fabric used is Jute linen and Awesome spots designed by Sandy Gervais and printed by Moda with a repeat using similar material for the flowers within the Awesome Range. I have used double wadding and Calico on the inside.

Rustic Gingham hearts for order!

Well finally finished 6 of these Live - Laugh - Love gingham hearts!
I sold a few before Christmas and the lady emailed me for 3 more - rather surprised but this time I added a further embellishment by making buttons in the same fabric but adding a little Red heart before finishing.

A Valentine Sort of Collage Heart!!

Was just trying to make a heart with small additions!
Need to use all the fabric I have had for ages which is 'a lot' and stop buying more.
The picture and words I printed on calico using the freezer paper as backing and they worked out quite well - sorry but I'm not a David Bailey with camera but do try!
Thanks for looking!
